Cookie Notice
This Cookie Notice explains how we use cookies and similar technologies on the Platform.
Effective date: August 27, 2026. Operator: Apsida Foundation (apsidafoundation.org).
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, and software development kits (SDKs). We use “cookies” here to refer to all of these.
2. How we use cookies
- Strictly necessary — sign-in sessions, security, load balancing, locale/currency preferences, fraud prevention, and remembering essential choices (for example, dismissing a notice).
- Functional — remembering UI preferences such as theme where offered.
- Analytics — understanding how the Platform is used in aggregate so we can improve it (if and when enabled).
- Attribution — storing UTM or similar parameters so donations can be associated with a promotion channel for Fundraiser reporting.
3. Duration
Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain for a set period or until you delete them. Exact lifetimes vary by cookie purpose.
4. Your choices
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent login or checkout from working. Where required by law (including certain California “sharing” opt-outs), we will honor applicable preference signals as described in our California Privacy Notice.
5. More information
Personal information collected via cookies is also covered by our Privacy Policy. Questions: privacy@apsidafoundation.org.
