How donations work
All 100% of funds raised on a campaign go directly to the fundraiser. Apsida Foundation does not take fees or commissions from donations.
Where the money goes
Donations are not held in an Apsida “wallet.” They move through a payment provider straight into the fundraiser’s connected account.

The rules, plainly
- Platform fee: 0%. Apsida Foundation does not keep a share of campaign donations and does not charge organizations a commission on gifts.
- Direct to the fundraiser. Money is processed by a payment company (today Stripe Connect; PayPal may be offered later) and settled to the organization's own connected account — not into an Apsida holding account.
- Processor fees may apply. Stripe (and any other processor) may charge a small processing fee on each card payment. Rates can differ by country, card type, nonprofit status, and volume. Apsida does not set or keep those fees.
- Tax-exempt discount. We recommend that eligible organizations apply with their payment processor as a tax-exempt / nonprofit account. Processors often offer reduced rates once that status is verified.
- Foundation support goes the other way. Apsida Foundation works to attract additional resources and can distribute support among campaigns on the platform — building trust and capacity, not extracting value from donors or parishes.
Why this matters
Crowdfunding sites sometimes take a cut. We do not. Our goal is a transparent Orthodox fundraising platform where donors can give with confidence, and organizations keep what people intended to give — while the Foundation invests in the commons instead of billing campaigns for access.
