Refunds & Disputes
This policy describes how refund and dispute requests are handled for donations made through the Platform.
Effective date: August 27, 2026. Operator: Apsida Foundation (apsidafoundation.org).
1. Nature of donations
Contributions made through campaign pages are generally voluntary charitable or mission-support gifts to the Fundraiser named on the campaign. Unless a campaign expressly states otherwise, donations are not purchases of goods or services from Apsida Foundation.
2. Who controls the funds
Because donations are processed by third-party payment processors into the Fundraiser’s connected account, Apsida Foundation does not hold campaign donation funds and cannot unilaterally reverse a settled payout from the Fundraiser’s processor account. See our Payments & Funds Disclaimer.
3. Requesting a refund
To request a refund, first contact the Fundraiser using the contact information on the campaign or organization page. You may also open a Contact Support ticket on the Platform or email support@apsidafoundation.org; we can help route the request and share Platform records, but approval of refunds is typically determined by the Fundraiser and/or the payment processor’s rules.
4. Processor chargebacks
If you dispute a charge with your card issuer, the payment processor’s dispute process applies. Fundraisers are responsible for responding to evidence requests for their connected accounts. Abuse of chargebacks may result in account restrictions.
5. Errors and unauthorized charges
If you believe a charge was unauthorized or duplicated due to a Platform or processor error, contact us promptly with the approximate time, amount, and campaign name so we can investigate with available logs and the processor.
6. Campaign changes
Fundraisers may update campaign descriptions, goals, or timelines. Material changes should be reflected on the campaign page. Refund expectations after such changes are governed by applicable law and the Fundraiser’s policies—not by a blanket Platform guarantee.
