Campaign email preferences and terms
How Apsida Foundation and the organizations fundraising on our platform use your email address when you support a campaign.
What you are agreeing to
When you leave the campaign updates checkbox selected on the donation form, you consent to receive email messages about that specific campaign. Consent is per campaign: supporting a second campaign is a separate choice, and clearing the checkbox means you will not be added to that campaign’s update list.
Emails you will receive
- Campaign updates. Progress reports, milestones, photos, and thank-you notes written and sent by the organization running the campaign.
- Fulfillment messages. If your gift includes an offering that has to be delivered or arranged, the organization may email you about it.
Separately from the checkbox, and regardless of your marketing preferences, we send transactional messages you have asked for: your donation receipt, payment confirmations from Stripe, and — where the organization issues them — a charitable contribution acknowledgment letter for your records. These are not promotional emails and are not covered by the campaign updates subscription.
How to unsubscribe
Every campaign update email contains an unsubscribe link in the footer. One click removes your address from that campaign’s update list. We honor unsubscribe requests promptly and, in any case, no later than ten business days, as required by the CAN-SPAM Act. Unsubscribing never affects your gift, your receipt, or your acknowledgment letter.
You can also write to us and we will remove your address on your behalf. If you no longer wish to hear from a particular organization at all, tell us and we will pass the request along and suppress future campaign mail to your address.
Who sends the email
Apsida Foundation operates the fundraising platform and the systems that deliver the messages. The content of a campaign update is written and controlled by the organization running the campaign, and that organization is the sender on whose behalf the message is transmitted. Every message identifies the organization, identifies itself as a campaign update, and includes a valid physical postal address and a working unsubscribe mechanism. We do not use deceptive subject lines or headers.
Donations are processed by Stripe and go directly to the organization. Apsida Foundation does not hold campaign funds and does not issue tax receipts on an organization’s behalf.
Your address and your privacy
We use your email address to send the messages described above, to deliver your receipt, and to contact you if there is a problem with your gift. We do not sell or rent donor email addresses, and we do not share your address with advertisers. The organization you supported can see the contact details you provided so it can thank you and fulfill your offering.
Whether your name appears publicly is a separate setting you control on the donation form. Choosing to receive updates does not make your name public, and choosing to remain anonymous does not prevent us from emailing you your receipt.
Changes
If we materially change how campaign email works, we will update this page. Continuing to receive campaign updates after a change means the updated terms apply; if you disagree, use the unsubscribe link.
